
Deacon Bob Anderson was born in Dunkirk, New York and moved to Salamanca, New York at the age of 4. He has one sister, Midge, three brothers, Art, Dick (deceased) and Mike who is a Permanent Deacon in the Diocese of Buffalo, New York.
Deacon Bob and his wife Geri Loy have four children, a son in Kentucky, two daughters in Connecticut, and one daughter in Heaven.
Deacon Bob was ordained on June 4, 1982 in the Archdiocese of Hartford, Connecticut by Archbishop John Whealan. He was assigned to Mary Our Queen Parish in Southington where he served as director of the parish confirmation program, trained parish lectors, and worked with the St. Vincent de Paul homeless shelter.
He and his family moved to Manchester, New Hampshire in October 1995 and was assigned to St. Kathryn Parish in Hudson. His ministries included "Coming Home" for returning Catholics, sacramental preparation for baptism and marriage, Lazarus ministry for bereavement, pastoral work, liturgical ministry and "anything the pastor asked him to do."
Deacon Bob has an Associate's Degree in civil engineering and worked for 35 years in a high-tech industry and retired from a multi-national, hi-tech company in December 2000. He then worked for the Diocese of Manchester for 4 years as Director of Respect Life Office, Director of Institutional Ministries and Co-Director of the Office of Public Policy. He fully retired in July 2005 and relocated in Florida in October of that same year.
